Sony xperia Z1 is the flagship smartphone for the rest of the year from Sony. Earlier it was known as Honami. The device comes power packed and the most exciting feature is its rumored 20MP camera with Exmor R sensor and f/1.8 Carl Zeiss lens.


According to BGR India the device will maintain its current brand ambassador Katrina Kaif for this device too. The site goes on to claim that the device will be launched in an event in Delhi. The fact that the Xperia Z1 is coming to India within 2 weeks of its global launch means that the Sony has high expectations on the paying capacity of Indian upper class customers. In India the price of the device will be around Rs. 50,000.  Global launch of the device is expected at IFA Berlin Show 2013 scheduled on September 6.

Xperia Z1 is powerful to the core. The device is powered by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone will have a 5 inch wide screen that offers 1080p fullHD resolution. Sony’s Triluminus display technology found on latest Bravia televisions is used in this device. There will be 16 GB internal storage memory in the device. There will be a 3,000 mAh battery and a microSD slot. Xperia Z1 will be a dust and waterproof gadget. It will run on Android 4.2 OS.
