HTC Desire 300 smartphone is announced by HTC a little while ago. HTC continues to launch phones with features that they found successful on their flagship HTC One smartphone. Desire 300 will be a lower mid range phone.


The phone has a 4.3-inch WVGA display that offers 800×480 pixels resolution. Desire 300 is powered using a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor along with 512MB of RAM. The 4 GB internal storage memory can be expanded using a microSD card. Out of the 4 GB memory, only 1.2 GB will be available to the user.

Desire 300 has a 5MP front camera with F/2.8 aperture and 34mm lens. The front camera is VGA. The connectivity options in the phone includes 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5 mm stereo jack.It supports 2G/ 2.5G and 3G/ 3.5G networks.

The 1650mAh battery offers 11 hours talk time and up to 625 hours stand by on 3G networks. Other features in the phone includes Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and GPS. The phone is expected to launch in October this year.

HTC announces Desire 300 along with Desire 601. Desire 601, however, has better features and specifications than Desire 300. It is powered using a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and has 1 GB of RAM. The phones also boasts better specifications in terms of screen size, resolution, battery size etc. Desire 601 has a 4.5 inch display with 960×540 pixels resolution and 2100mAh battery. It aso offers 8GB expandable storage
