As the holiday season is just around the corner, we got a special gift guide, coming right from Google’s Executive chairman, Eric Schmidt. In his Google+ post he gave a detailed guide for his friends on how to switch from iPhone to Android.
Schmidt, former Apple board member noted the benefits of switching from iPhone to Android in his post, titled as “Eric’s Guide: Converting to Android from iPhone.” The post is a nice beginners guide with step by step process on moving from iPhone to Android, and it seems interesting.
According to Schmidt, many of his iPhone friends are migrating from iPhone to Android, and never wanted to go back. He noted that most recent flagships like Galaxy S4, Verizon Droid Ultra and Nexus 5 may be the greatest Christmas gift for an iPhone user.
“Many of my iPhone friends are converting to Android. The latest high end smartphone from Samsung (Galaxy S4), Motorola (Verizon Droid Ultra) and Nexus 5 (for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) have better screens, are faster and have much more intuitive interface. They are a great Christmas present to an iPhone user” Schmidt noted his post.
Moving down to the post, the guide tells about how to sign in to your Android device, add a Google account, finding apps, sync the music, import contacts etc. Turning off your iMessage is one of the must to do step, before moving from your iPhone, according to Schmidt
He ended the post by sharing his views on browser too, “Be sure to use Chrome, not Safari; it’s safer and better in so many ways. And it’s free.”
