It is a 4G LTE compatible phone. Though not many cities in India now have 4G networks, Reliance Jio that bagged the licence for 4G in the country, recently have announced that 4G will be coming shortly all over the country. 4G uses a different technology which is primarily meant for data transfer. It is different from 1G/ 2G/ 3G technologies that are primarily meant for voice calling. According to reports 4G offers a data speed of up to 100 Mbps, which is many times better than the 21 Mbps speed offered by 3G. More over 4G comes at a price less than that of 3G. So by all means 4G on a smartphone will become inevitable in near future.
