Ascend P6 is one of the widely accepted smartphones from the Chinese makers Huawei. The phone features ultra thin and stylish design and contributes to the bulk revenue of Huawei. The company announced the phone last July, with a title of ‘ world’s thinnest Smartphone, ‘ measuring just 6.18mm. The phone is getting a successor in the form of Ascend P6S, and Huawei is taking one step further with P6S, with the power of an Octa Core processor.
Huawei’s president Xu Xin Quan confirmed through the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, that “Huawei Ascend P6 will be getting a successor in the form of Ascend P6S that will feature a true Octa Core processor, powered by MediaTek.”
The K3V2 processor in Ascend P6 will be replaced with a true Octa core processor. All the cores will be able to operate simultaneously in the ‘true Octa core’ processor, rather allowing only four cores at a time like the Samsung’s Exynos chipset.
The other details on the device are not available right now, but it seems like that the Ascend P6S will be a gradual updated version of P6, without any huge breakthrough.
