Idea introduces a new device Aurus IV in India. Aurus IV is a dual SIM device with 4.5 inches TFT display that offers 480 X 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor along with 512 GB RAM.
The phone is priced at Rs.8999 and will be available from all places where Idea has 3G networks. Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Kerala, UP West and East, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are the states where Idea currently has 3G network.
The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Internal storage is 4 GB and there is microSD card to expand the memory up to 32 GB. The 1,800 mAH battery offers 4 hours of talk time and up to 392 hours of standby on 3G. There is a 5 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera in this phone.
The price of the phone seems to be on the higher side. The phones with much similar specifications are however available in the market. Most re-branded or domestically built phone in this price range have better specifications like quad core processor, 1 GB RAM. Xolo q series phones, intex and iball phones are examples.
