HP is making budget friendly smartphones mainly targeting countries like India, Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa. The existence of the device was confirmed few days back when it appeared on the Bluetooth certifications and benchmarks databases.
This time the image surfaced is a small thumbnail sized image that shows the device being held in hand with the rear side facing the camera. The HP logo is clearly visible. The picture is supposed to have been taken in a presentation at HP Labs. You can view the image from the source link at the bottom of this article.
HP Slate 6 Voice Tab will be an affordable phablet priced around $200. In India it will be priced 12,500 going by exact currency conversion rate. The display size will be around 6 inches with 720p resolution which means 240 ppi pixel density.
The market, especially in India have a dearth of devices from global brands in this price segment. Samsung being the only global player holds major share in this segment with Core duos and S Duos 2 . HP might launch the device even before the Moto G makes its entry into the Indian territory. Moto G which comes with almost same price is scheduled to launch by the end of January.
Going into other known specifications of the device, it is powered by a 1 GHz quad core processor with GPU. The RAM size is not known now, but it should be at least 1 GB. The device runs Android OS.
