The smartphone war seems to be moved from high end to mid-rangers. Motorola already set a golden standard in the budget smartphone space with their Moto G, which is moving pretty well in the market. Now Acer has introduced a new Android smartphone in their Liquid series dubbed as, Acer Liquid Z5, as a a part of their CES 2014 product line-up. The phone features a 5.0″ display and have some decent features in its sleeve, but the most exciting thing about the device is that the company offering the phone for just 169 euros.
The phone comes with 5.0″ FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and in the innards it hides a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek processor coupled with Mali 400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, five element f2.4 lens and a 0.3 MP VGA front camera. The phone like most of the mid-rangers out there features a dual SIM support.
Acer has also included some special features like ACER RAPID design that offers one-hand control to unlock or wake-up the screen, DTS sound technology, launch the camera etc. Other software tweaks like Quick Mode, Float user interface are also included within the phone.
Acer Liquid Z5 is coming in White and Gray color options. According to Acer the phone will be launching in Europe starting from mid-January. France, Benelux, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Ukraine and UK markets are going to get the phone first with a price tag of 169 Euros.
