The devices were in rumors for over a week and was scheduled to announce any time soon as we had reported yesterday. Finally HP have announced Slate 6 Voice Tab and Slate 7 Voice Tab in india. HP further revealed that the devices will be available from February.

HP Slate6 VoiceTab

It is confusing whether to call both devices tablets as according to recent nomenclature the device 7 inches or more are bracketed within the tablet phrase and those within 5 inch and 7 inch are usually called phablets, unofficially.

However they are called both these devices share almost same internals. The difference is obviously in their respective display sizes. The display resolution too varies to a small extend. Slate 6 VoiceTab features a 1280x720p IPS HD display while the slat 7 has a 1280x800p display.

Both devices comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. They are powered by quad core processors. Other features includes 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options. The devices comes with 16 GB internal storage memory. This can be expanded as there is microSD card slots in the devices.

HP has chosen India in their re entry into the smartphone market. They expect that there is need for such devices in the country as the customers are looking to consolidate on their gadgets.

The price of the device is however not revealed yet. It may be revealed later when they get closer to the February release date. Whether they will stick with the earlier rumored $200 and $250 price tags needs to be seen.
