This year Micromax too have made itself present at CES. This points to the company’s ambition to expand their horizon beyond India. Whether they have plans to go international is not known yet. Micromax now enjoys a major share in the domestic Android mobile phone market. The confidence that they have gained from selling smartphones have inspired in making a laptop-tablet hybrid.
The specialty of Micromax Cavas laptab does not end with its convertible feature. It is equipped with dual booting features, something that is gaining traction in International technology space. This device runs Android and Windows 8.1 operating systems. In the morning we saw a series of such devices from Lenovo.
Coming to the specifications of Laptab, it features a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 p display. It is powered by a 1.46 GHz processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Not all the specifications of the device have surfaced yet as the company is yet to make an official press release. Among the other known specifications are the 2 MP front and back cameras, and 32 GB of internal storage.
The price of the device is also not known. We speculate the price at launch to be somewhere around Rs. 20,000.
