Micromax added two new Android smartphones into their bolt series. This time the devices launched belongs to the budget segment. The two phones that are named Bolt A28 and Bolt A59 are priced Rs. 3,599 and Rs. 4,499 respectively.

Both the phones are listed in the Micromax official website. Both the phones were listed on on e-commerce website few days back. Let’s now take a look on the specifications of both these phones.

Micromax Bolt A28 runs an out dated Android Gingerbread OS. The 3.5 inches display offers 320×480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor paired with 256 MB RAM.

Bolt A28 comes with 512 MB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 16 GB using microSD card. There is a 0.3 mega pixel rear camera, while there is no mention about the front camera. The 1,500 mAH battery offers 4 hours talk time on 2G networks.

The phone comes with regular connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi, 2G, GPS and micro USB. The phone does not support 3G. It weighs 90g and has dimensions ranging 116.9×62.5×12.5mm.

Micromax Bolt A28  is meant for most basic purposes of making phone calls and occasional web browsing. Taking photos will not be much of a fun in this device. It is good for the beginners, those looking to get a taste of Android devices. For the given price one should not expect much from a smartphone.
