Polaroid have partnered with Socialmatic to create a camera that can be used to print the photos instantly as well as share it. Instant photo printing has always been the speciality of the polaroid cameras. They were the pioneers in instant photo printing.
This new camera runs Google Android OS, the version is not known. By introducing this new Android camera, Polaroid combines the retro style instant printing and the new age instant photo sharing. The users can instantly print the photographs and at the same time share them on social media. The images are printed on to a Sticker backed Zink Photo paper. The camera uses the Zero ink Zink technology to print the photographs.
The camera can connect to the internet using WiFi. Besides the 14 MP primary camera, there is a 2 MP camera’s for taking selfies. The display is 4.5 inch LCD. It offers 4 GB of internal storage and there is microSD slot for extended storage.

This relationship with Socialmatic allows Polaroid to come full circle and once again allow people to capture and share images in ways that are only possible with a Polaroid camera in their hands.”
The price of the camera is not known yet. It will be available sometime during the fall of 2014.
