Sony launches two new smartphones called Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1. Both phones have dual SIM versions. So there are 4 models in the offering. Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is a phablet, 6 inches wide and 7.37 mm thick. This is an extremely thin device and weighs 173g.
Let’s now look more into the specifications of the Xperia T2 Ultra. The 6 inch wide display offers 720p resolution. It is powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon CPU couple with 1 GB of RAM. This phone comes with 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded using microSD card. Although thin, the phone comes with an impressive 3,000 mAH battery.
T2 Ultra comes with a 13MP front camera and 1.1 MP rear camera. The rear camera does have the Sony Exmor RS technology. The device comes pre-installed with apps like Portrait Retouch, Collage and Timeshift burst which captures 31 photos in 2 seconds before and after the shutter is pressed, ensuring a perfect shot.
That was all about the Xpreria T2 Ultra. Now we can look into the specifications of the Xperia E1 which comes as a lower mid range device. This is a 4 inch device with WVGA display resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor along with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of expandable internal storage memory.
The specifications of the Xperia E1 cannot be termed impressive by the current benchmarks. But Sony seems to have prepared this phone for the music lovers. It comes with many features from the Sony Walkman. The lower specs are compensated with the extremely loud and clear 100 dB speakers. Sony have incorporated ClearAudio+ mode and xLOUD software for loud and clear sound tracks. The price, although not officially announced, is expected to be around 175 Euros which is equivalent to 14,700 in India.
The launch date of the devices are not known, but they are expected to arrive in International markets soon.
