Airtel launches 4G in Bangalore

Good news for Bangalorians, they get access to the high speed 4G network in India. The service is started by Airtel in the city in association with Apple.

For the time being the service will be available for those using iPhone 5S and 5C. The users don’t have to buy a new SIM card to access 4G. Company spokesperson said that the existing 3G SIM cards supports 4G.

The 4G plans are prices at the existing 3G rates .Those having high internet usage can make use of the 10 GB download offer available for Rs. 1000. Sad part is that most popular handsets in the country does not support 4G connection. Many makers including Xolo have announced their 4G phones, but none are out for sale in the market

The network offers buffer-less video streaming with internet download speed going up to 100 Mbps. 4G being a new technology, it supports data streaming better than 3G or 2G and is cheaper comparatively.

Airtel announced that the 4G will soon be available in other major cities in the country.
