Huawei announced Ascend G6 with 4.5-inch display and LTE support

We spotted Huawei Ascend G6 last week in its full glory, and was expected to make its debut at MWC, and the MWC is right here, and Huawei officially announced the phone as expected. Most of the rumored specifications turned out to be real in the device. Ascend G6 is coming in both 3G and 4G versions, ans Huawei planning to launch the 3G version anytime in Q1 of 2014, while the 4G version is coming in April 2014.

The phone features 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels resolution, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage etc.

It sports an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash, Sony IMX134 sensor along with blue glass infrared filter for sharp and clear images. It also offers a 5 mega pixel front facing camera with four plastic element lens and 88 degree wide-angle.

“Ascend G6 offers an enhanced smartphone camera experience with Huawei’s proprietary self-focus tips and preview screen. The four plastic element (4P) lens features on the 5 mega pixel front camera provides audio controlled spontaneous snapping, auto scene recognition and auto-facial enhancement. Add an extra dimension with the ‘Voice Photo’ function that takes a photo and record a 10 second audio clip to accompany it, sharable via Facebook and WeChat,” noted Huawei in their press release.

As it leaked earlier, the phone is coming in a range of attractive colors including Blue, Gold, Pink, White and Black. The expected retail price for the device is around €249 (approximately $342)
