LG launched the smaller version of its flagship device LG G2. The smaller version will be called LG G2 mini. Unlike Sony Xperia Z1 compact, LG G2 Mini is not the compact version of LG G2. The device does not carry the premium features in the bigger model.
G2 mini was expected at the MWC, but they seems to be in some hurry and the Netherlands division of the company have let out the details in public.
What stands out in LG G2 mini will be the Android 4.4 KitKat that comes out of the box and the 8 MP rear camera. Rest of the specifications reminds you of a mid ranger. The design remind you of the bigger model with control buttons seen on the back.
LG G2 Mini features a 4.7 inch display with qHD (960 x 540 p) display. It was earlier rumored to feature an HD display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. As mentioned earlier, the phone comes with Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with LG optimus UI on top.
Primary camera features 8 MP sensor, while there is smaller camera in the front. The battery is of 2,440 mAH capacity. The device comes with all regular connectivity options. It will be available in 3G and 4G LTE versions.
The price of the device is not known now. It will be available first in Russia in March, followed by Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Europe.
