The South Korean giant Samsung is all set to launch their latest flagship device Galaxy S5 in India today. The Samsung India is going to unveil the device in Delhi, and the company will start live streaming the event at 12.00 noon.
Samsung originally announced the device back in last month at MWC. The company had also announced Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit along with Galaxy S5 at MWC. These devices are likely to get unveiled in India also. Though the company going to unleash the device for Indian market today, it won’t go on sale today. Rather Samsung is set to release the device starting from April 11, in 150 countries around the world, including India.
There is no official word on the pricing of the device, but according to a Mumbai-based retailer the next generation Galaxy S5 would be priced at Rs. 51,500. If it is true, then the Galaxy S5 will be the most expensive Samsung smartphone till date, in India. The same source also reports that the device will go on pre-order starting from March 28, for a pre-booking price of Rs.1,500. According to them, the City Bank Credit Card users will get a 15% cash back benefit.
