Asus has launched the dual SIM version of their fonepad 7 tablet. This voice calling 3G tablet will be called Asus fonepad 7 Dual, and is priced Rs. 12,999. Asus has not increased the priced of this 7 inch tablet, though it comes with additional features like more recent OS and dual SIM slots.
The tablet supports 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA 3G networks and 850/900/1800/1900 GSM 2G networks. The device offers download speed of HSPA+ UL:5.76 Mbps/DL:42 Mbps.
The 7 inch wide LED backlight IPS display in the tablet offers 1280 x 800 p resolution. It is powered by an Intel Atom clover trail processor clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage memory in the device is 8GB. It can be further expanded by 64 GB using a microSD card.
The tablet comes with a 3910 mAh battery that offers up to 720 hour stand by and up to 10 hours talk time. The tablet is equipped with the regular connectivity options like WiFI, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB with USB OTG along with 3G and 2G network connectivity.
The rear camera comes with a 5MP sensor and there is a 1.2 MP camera in the front. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080 p full HD videos @ 30fps, while the 1.2 MP front camera records 720p videos. There is no flash that comes along with the camera. The operating system is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Asus fonepad 7 Dual weighs 340 g and had dimensions ranging 199.5×120.8×11.35mm. The SIM slots can only accommodate microSIMs.
