Oppo R1 officially launched in India for Rs.26,990

Oppo Electronics has launched a new device in the country today. The Chinese maker has launched Oppo R1, a 5-inch Android smartphone in India. It was originally announced by Oppo back in December last year and went on sale via some online retailers recently. The phone is priced Rs.26,990.

The Oppo R1 features an elegant design with ceramic finish and gold rim on the sides.  The phone sports 5-inch IPS HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The handset packs 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The Oppo R1 sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash with LED flash and BSI sensor. The 5MP on the front will offer an 80 degree wide angle lens.The phone runs a customized version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, named Color OS. It has dual SIM support and comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 3G.

The Oppo R1 packs 2410 mAh battery and it comes in Black color.  Lat week Oppo had announced an updated version of Oppo R1, named Oppo R1S. The Oppo R1S comes with much improved processor and display. We expect the Oppo R1S to come to India shortly.
