The name Aqua i5 mini is somewhat confusing because this device does not feature a 5 inch display but a 4.5 inch display. The display offers 480×854 pixel FWVGA resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. Mali 400 is the GPU and MediaTek MT6582 is the chipset.
The rear camera in the phone features an 8 MP sensor, while the front camera has a 2 MP sensor. There is flash on the rear, and the features of the camera includes panorama mode, face beauty, HDR and continuous shot
The connectivity options in the phone are regular. The phone comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB connectivity. Aqua i5 mini works on GSM: 900 / 1800, WCDMA: 2100 MHz network bands. Gravitiy, proxmity and ambient light sensors can be found on this device.
The 1500 mAh battery offers 4 to 5 hours of battery life and up to 180 hour of standby. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 jelly bean OS. There is no mention of future OTA updates.
Yesterday, Intex had launched Intex Aqua i5 HD for Rs. 9,999. The price of Aqua i5 mini is not yet revealed by the company. The price of the phone is expected to be around Rs. 6,999 which is similar to the price of recently launched Moto e. We shall bring more updates of this device when it goes official.
