HTC had officially announced their flagship device for the year 2014 by the end of March. The phone made its official launch in India recently for a price worth Rs. 49,990. Now, if you are waiting for what’s next from the Taiwanese giant, it is of course the Mini version of HTC One M8, and interestingly the rumors on the phone had started floating around, long before the official announcement of HTC One M8.
The phone is on its way to us, it seems. It is spotted in an alleged press render today, and the regular tipster @evleaks posted the photos of the device.
From the picture, it is clear that the phone follows its big brother in design, but with some design tweaks. The dual flash light in the One M8 has been replaced by a single flash, and the Mini version won’t have the Duo camera set up as in its flagship. More than that the Ultra pixel camera is rumored to be replaced by a 13 MP sensor. The leaked render has also revealed that the phone, like One M8 will be coming in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold color options.
According to the previous rumors, the HTC One Mini 2 will feature a 4.5″ display with 1280 x 700 pixel resolution, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. HTC One Mini 2 will run Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC’s latest Sense 6.0 UI. It is expected to be coming with 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of on-board storage, and a 5 MP front snapper.
The phone will feature on-screen buttons rather than capacitive touch screen buttons and there is also dual-front facing Boom Sound speakers.
The HTC One Mini 2 will be a mid-ranger from the company, greatly inspired by HTC One M8. No word on when HTC is going to make the phone official, but we may hope that the device will go official with in this quarter itself.
