Xolo has launched a new smartphone with HIVE UI. The Xolo’s HIVE UI initiative is in the news for quite some time. We had reported about Xolo’s plans to come up with a phone that comes with this UI. Xolo 8x-1000 happens to be the first phone from the company that comes with HIVE UI. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs 13,999.
Besides the regular customization over the stock android interface the UI comes with several themes as well. Xolo also invites user community to take part in further enhancement of this UI.
Coming back to the phone, Xolo 8x-1000 feaures a 5 inch display that offers 720 p resolution. The display comes with Asahi dragontrail scratch resistant glass. It offers 16 M colors and delivers 294 ppi pixel density. The phone has got a glossy finish on the rear with Gorilla Glass 3 on the rear.
Xolo 8x-1000 is powered by an Octa-core processor clocked @ 1.4 GHz. The chipset used in this device is the MediaTek MT 6592M. The GPU is Mali 400 MP4. The phone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage memory which can be further extended by another 32 GB using a microSD card.
All regular connectivity features including Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0, GPS and WiFi are present in this phone. Xolo 8x-1000 comes with a 8MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. The rear camera has an Exmor R sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens. It can record 1080p videos @ 30 fps.
The battery in the phone is a 1920 mAh Lithium ion battery. It offers up to 11 hours of talk time on 2G networks and up to 7.6 hours talk time in 3G networks. The stand-by offered by the phone on 2G networks is up to 352 hours and on 3G networks it is up to 321 hours.
Xolo 8x-1000 will be available from the retailers across the country from next week itself. The online sales may start even sooner.
