The 4G LTE version of the best seller Asus Zenfone 5 got listed in the company website. The device can be differentiated from the original by the trailing code name A500KL. So the 4G LTE Asus Zenfone 5 will be known as Asus Zenfone 5 A500KL.
While most of the specifications remains same the processor in the device is changed. The Asus Zenfone 5 A500KL is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with a choice of 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM. Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8926 is the chipset with Adreno 305 GPU. There will be 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage versions to choose from. The microSD card slot allow for further expansion of memory up to 64 GB.
The rear camera in the device comes with an 8 MP sensor and the front camera comes with a 2 MP sensor. It is same as in the 3G model. The 5 inch display offers 720p HD resolution with ~294 ppi pixel density. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the glass from scratches. The connectivity options includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB port along with 2G, 3G and 4G network connectivity.

The Asus Zenfone 5 A500KL comes with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out-of-the-box. The 2,110 mAh battery offers improved 20 hours of talk time. Whether this version will launch in India is yet to be known. Asus is still unable to meet the demand of Asus Zenfone 5 in the country. The stocks often gets sold out within a day or two.
