Lava Iris 400Q with Android Kitkat OS is available online for Rs. 5,499. The device, however, is not officially launched. This is lower budget segment device with average configurations. The phone is currently listed on the Homeshop 18 website.
Iris 400Q features a 4 inch display that offers 800 x 480 pixels resolution with ~233 ppi. It is a capacitive multitouch TFT display that offers 16M color depth.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. The chipset is not known. The internal storage memory is limited to 4 GB. It can be further expanded using a microSD card. The phone supports microSD cards up to 32 GB.
Lava Iris 400Q is a dual SIM phone (GSM +GSM) that supports 2G and 3G network bands. Bluetooth V2.0, USB V2.0 and WiFi are the other connectivity features.
The rear camera comes with a 5 MP sensor with LED. The front camera is a VGA camera. The rear camera records 720 p videos. Scene detection & tuning are the other camera features.
MP3, AAC, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, WAV, MIDI audio codecs are supported. There is FM radio as other multi media option. Iris 400Q comes with a 1,700 mAh battery that offers up to 9 hours talk time and up to 153 hours stand by. The overall dimensions ranges 129 x 63 x 9.9 mm.
Lava launched a selfie centric phone last week called Lava Iris X5 which currently sells for Rs. 8649. It is already creating impression among the youth because of its 5 MP auto focus front camera, and features like 5 inch HD display, quad core processor etc.
