Motorola has officially unveiled the ‘2nd generation Moto g.’ The device is currently listed on the official Motorola website for $179.99. The availability is scheduled for 11 a.m CT.

Complete specifications and features are also available on the site along with the price and availability. Motorola has made improvement in the display size, sound quality and battery durability in this device. Other key specs remains the same including the processor and RAM. Another welcome improvement is the presence of microSD card slot which was absent in the first generation Moto G

Besides the bigger 5 inch display we notice the two speaker grills in the first glance of the 2nd generation Moto G. This provides undisturbed sound when the device is made to rest on its back while playing music.

Update: Moto G 2nd Generation will be available from Flipkart for Rs.12,999 for the 16 GB version in India. This is much lesser than the Moto G 1st generation, when it launched.
