Samsung has launched the latest version of its Galaxy Grand. The new device named Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime recently made some citing on the rumor columns. Except that there was no news about the device coming. Now the device is available in India for Rs. 15,250. The stocks will be available in 2 days. The MRP of the device is Rs. 16,000.
As usual the news is revealed by Mahesh Telecom, who runs an offline store in Mumbai. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime can be called a selfie focused phone as it comes with a 5 MP front camera. It comes with Android 4.4 OS out of the box. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core CPU along with Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. The Chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 400. There is 8 GB of expandable internal storage memory. The phone supports microSD cards up to 64 GB.
The device has made its appearance at the offline retailers before making its presence online. This is part of Samsung’s initiative to push their device through real brick and mortar stores in the country. The company had recently alleged that the online retailers are the reason for the reduction of prices of their phones. Due to this rapid correction in prices, offline retailers had threatened to boycott the sales of their products in future.
Galaxy Grand Prime is Samsung’s direct challenge to the Motorola’s Moto G. Specifications of both phone are very much identical. However, the Moto G 2014 (2nd Gen.) scores in certain areas like display resolution, and the price is also lesser than Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.
