Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is now official in India. The phone is priced Rs. 16,000, but is now available from offline stores in the country for Rs. 15,250. The device has not gone of sale online yet.
The Mumbai retailer, Mahesh Telecom who had revealed the news about this phone has posted an image of Galaxy Grand Prime phones stacked in his shop.
This is the closest competitor to Motorola’s New Moto G 2014 (2nd Gen.) from Samsung. In comparison, Samsung‘s phone is bit pricey. The specifications of both phones are mostly identical except in some areas where Moto G is better.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with a 5 inch capacitive touch screen display that offers qHD (960 x 540p) resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1 GB of RAM. There is 8 GB of expandable storage memory, 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. The phone comes with Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Overall dimension ranges 144.8×72.1×8.6mm and it weighs 156 grams. Battery is of 2600 mAh capacity.
Samsung projects this phone as a ‘Groupfie’ phone, as ‘group selfies’ are the trend of the period. The 5 MP front camera features a 85 degree wide-angle lens for wide capture.
