Sony Xperia Z3 will be launched in India on September 19. It is worth to note that the earlier version, Xperia Z2, arrived in India just 4 months before in May. Sony seems to have been impressed by the response for its device for the country.
Like its predecessor, Sony Xperia Z3 is also a mean machine. It features a 5.2 inch IPS LCD Triluminous display that offers full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution. The pixel density calculates to around ~424 ppi. The shatter proof glass offers protection for the display and the X-Reality Engine offers real life like images.
Sony Xperia Z3 is powered by a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU along with Adreno 330 GPU. Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 is the chipset present in this device. The phone has 3 GB of RAM, and it is available in 16 GB and 32 GB versions. Xperia Z3 supports microSD cards up to 128 GB.
The rear camera features a 20.7 MP sensor. It is an auto focus camera and comes with a flash. 1/2.3” sensor size, ISO 12,800, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, image stabilization, HDR and panorama are the other features in the camera. The camera records 2160p 4K videos @30fps, 1080p videos @60fps, 720p videos @120fps. The front camera comes with a 2.2 MP sensor. It can record 1080 p full HD videos @ 30fps.
Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS runs on the device which is upgradeable to Android L (Lemon Merinque Pie) when it becomes available. Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer are the sensors found in Xperia Z3. The battery in the device has a capacity of 3100 mAh. It offers up to 14 hours talk time on 3G and up to 16 h ours talk time on 2G.
The connectivity options in the phone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, microUSB v2.0 (MHL 3), USB On-the-go, USB Host, GPS and NFC. 2G and 3G network connectivity options will available. Whether Sony launch a 4G Xperia Z3 will be known at the event. The phone is IP68 certified, which means it is dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter to up to 30 minutes.

Sony Xperia Z3 will be available in Black, White, Copper, Silver and Green colors. The price of the phone in India is not known yet. But from the previous version launches, we can expect the price of the phone around Rs. 50,000. The 16 GB Sony Xperia Z2 currently sells for around Rs. 44,000 in the country.

The fact that it does not come with a Quad HD display like in Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3, may disappoint some buyers. But technically Sony is way ahead of its competitors, as they make most of the components like display and camera in house, unlike others. And they are proven to be very advanced in those niche`s.
