Oppo N3 launched, 16 MP camera is now motorized

Oppo launched the next flagship device Oppo N3 for the world. The device will be available in more than 20 countries around the world by December this year.

The device is currently listed on the Oppo Global website. The official Chinese website shows the price as CNY 3,999 which calculates to around Rs. 40,000 in India. Oppo seems to have skipped the N2 for some reasons and jumped to Oppo N3, leaving many of those searching for the successor of Oppo N1 confused.

Like the previous flagship device, Oppo N3 too comes with a swivel camera, but this time it is motorized. The camera tracks objects as they moves and it can rotate up to 206 degrees.

The camera comes with a 16 MP 1/2.3-inch sensor and pixel size of 1.34 μ. The motorized camera can be controlled with finger print sensor, on screen gestures or the O-Click 2.0 Bluetooth Remote Control that comes along with the device. It is capable of recording 4K video @ 30 fps, 1080p video @ 60 fps, 720p slow motion video @120 fps.

Oppo N3 comes with a VOOC rapid charger that charges the device up to 75% in 30 minutes. With 5 minutes charging the device can be run for up to 2 hours. There is a 3000 mAh battery in this device.

The 5.5 inch display offers 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is an IPS LCD display that offers 16M colors and ~4.3 ppi pixel density. There is Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the screen.

Oppo N3 is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad core Krait 400 CPU along with Adreno 330 GPU. The chipset used in the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AA. There is 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage memory which is expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

It runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS  with Color OS 2.0 on the top. The sensors includes finger print touch sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor and gravity sensor. The overall dimension ranges 161.2 × 77 × 8.7 mm and it weighs 192g. The connectivity option includes Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, micro USB v2.0, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac.

Oppo N3 supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. Except the display resolution, the specification and features of the phone is comparable with the flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3.
