Panasonic has launched a new budget android smartphone in India. The new phone, Panasonic T40 is priced Rs. 5,990. It features a 4 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that offers WVGA (800 x 480p) resolution.
Panasonic T40 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The chipset is unspecified. There is 8 GB of internal storage memory which can be expanded further 32 GB using a microSD card.
It is a dual SIM phone, and supports 2G and 3G network bands. Other connectivity options includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB. The phone comes with a range of software features that includes Gesture Play+, a draw-to-unlock gesture based feature, Pop-i Player, a video player with multitasking capabilities etc.
The 5 MP rear camera comes with an LED flash. There is also a 2 MP front camera. Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS runs in the device. The battery comes with a capacity of 1500 mAh.
