Asus Zenwatch got listed on Google Play Store for $199

Asus Zenwatch could be the most awaited smartwatch to arrive this year. The anticipation mostly is because of the unique design and the competitive price tag it carries. The phone comes with a design which is neither round or a perfect rectangle/ square. The edges are rounded, which gives it a look unlike other smartwatches available in the market. It is listed with a price tag of $199 and is expected to start shipping by the end of this month.

The smartwatch features a 1.63 inch AMOLED display that offers 320 x 320p resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 chipset with 1.2GHz CPU. There is 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The overall dimension ranges 50.6 x 39.8 x 7.9-9.4mm. The weight is 75g. The Zenwatch runs Google’s Android Wear OS. Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB  are the connectivity options in this watch. It is IP55 certified water resistant. 9 Axis Sensor and Bio-sensor are found on the watch.

Folks in India will have to wait some more to get the watch around their wrists. But it won’t be too late before we see this gadget in one of the online stores in India. Like their Zenphones, Asus is likely to make exclusive deal with Flipkart for selling this watch in India.  Going by the US pricing the watch is expected to carry a price band of Rs. 9990 in India.
