Gionee Marathon M3 launched officially for Rs. 12,999

Gionee Marthon M3 that was spotted on the Gionee website and an online retailer website in India is now official. The company has officially launched the device with a mega size 5000mAh battery, which is the largest in any of the smartphones launched in India to date. The device is launched for Rs. 12, 999.

Gionee Marathon is not just another device with a large battery. It does comes with some serious specs. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired with Mali-400MP2 GPU. MediaTek MT6582 is the chipset used. There is 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal storage memory in this device.

It features 5 inch IPS HD display. The display offers 16M colors and ~294ppi pixel density. The device has overall dimensions ranging 144.5×71.45×10.4. The weight is on the higher side, thanks to the large battery. The phone weighs 180.29g.

There is an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera in this device. The camera features includes LED flash, Face beauty, Panorama (Horizontal & Vertical), Eraser, Face detection, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, 99 snaps in one click, Gesture Shot, Smile Shot.

It is a dual SIM phone that supports 2G and 3G network bands. Other connectivity options includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB. It supports USB OTG. The phone will be available in Black as well as white colors.
