Panasonic P55 with 5.5 inch HD display launched in India. It will be available for Rs. 10,290. It will be available in Black and Pearl White colors. Panasonic is steadily developing its smartphone portfolio in India. Of late we have seen a number of devices being launched in the country, mostly in the budget segment.
Panasonic P55 belongs to the phablet category as it comes with a large 5.5 inch IPS LCD HD display. The display offers 16M colors, 1280 x 720p resolution and ~267 ppi pixel density.
The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core CPU paired with 1 GB of RAM. There is 4 GB of expandable storage memory. The storage can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
There is an 8 MP rear auto focus rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p full HD videos.
It is a dual SIM phone and supports 2G and 3G network bands. WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0 are the other connectivity features found in this device. A 2,500 mAh battery powers this device.
It is a thin device which measures just 7.9 mm in thickness. The overall dimensions ranges 149.7x77x7.9mm, and it weighs 148g which is fairly light for a device with large dimensions. Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS runs in the device out of the box.
