Micromax is about to launch a new Canvas Knight in India. The new device is called Micromax Canvas Knight 2 E471, and is made to compete with Xiaomi and Lenovo budget android 4G devices. Canvas Knight 2 is a 4G device. This is something special considering the fact that there are not many Micromax phones that comes with 4G connectivity.
Canvas Knight 2 features a 5 inch AMOLED HD display that offers ~294 ppi pixel density. Corning Gorilla glass protects the device from scratches. The phone has a glass body exterior, which is a departure from the plastic body devices that we are used to. It is a very thin phone with just 6.3 inch thickness. The overall dimension ranges between 142 X 72 X 6.3mm. The weight is not known yet.
This phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. The chipset is not specified. There is 16 GB of expandable internal storage. Canvas knight 2 runs Android Lollipop 5.0 OS out-of-the-box. There is an auto focus 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP fixed focus camera in the front.
Though the date is not known, the launch is imminent and may happen along with the Canvas Spark which is scheduled to launch on April 21st. Canvas Knight 2 may also launch on the same day. The price of Canvas Knight 2 E471 is expected to be around Rs. 8000.
