HTC has launched its selfie focused Desire 826 in India for Rs. 26,200. From the price point the phone is placed in the mid range segment of phones. The specifications of the phone are quite impressive with QualComm Snapdragon 615 chip forming the core of the device. The is now available from the retail outlets across the country. HTC desire 826 comes with a 5.5 inch wide Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that offers 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution. The phone has ~68.1% screen-to-body ratio, which is at par with the current day standards. The display offers ~401 ppi pixel density and 16M colors.
The phone is powered by Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 along with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of expandable internal storage memory. The microSD cards up to 128 GB is supported.
It is a dual SIM phone that supports 4G network bands. Both SIM slots support 4G SIM cards. Other connectivity options of the phone includes 2G, 3G, Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, apt-X, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, FM Radio, GPS with A-GPS and microUSB v2.0.
The key feature of the phone, however, is its 13 MP front facing camera that features f2.0 + BSI Sensor , 28.2mm wide angle , 1080p video recording and HTC Eye experience. The rear camera also has 13 MP resolution. The rear camera features includes f2.2+BSI Sensor, 28mm wide angle, video pic mode, continuous shot 99, panorama 360 and 1080p full HD video recording.

The phone comes with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with Sense UI on the top. The Lithium Polymer battery has 2600 mAh capacity.
