Lenovo has launched its next member in the p-series in India. Lenovo P70, which is the latest entrant in India from Lenovo features an octa-core 64 bit chipset. It also comes with a 4000 mAh. Even with a battery of this size, the device still weighs just 149g. Overall dimension ranges between 142 x 71.8 x 8.9mm.
Lenovo P70 features a 5 inch display that offers 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The display offers 16M colors and ~294 ppi pixel density. It is a dual SIM phone that supports 4G LTE network connectivity. Other connectivity options includes 2G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.0 and GPS.
The phone runs Android 4.4 kitkat with Lenovo custom UI on top. The Kitkat OS can be upgraded to Lollipop OS soon. Lenovo P70 is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa core CPU paired with 700 MHz Mali T760-MP2 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. MediaTek MT6752 is the chipset used in this phone. There is 16 GB of inbuilt storage memory in this device. Memory can be further expanded using a microSD card (up to 32 GB).
The rear camera in Lenovo has got a 13 MP resolution and the front camera comes with a 5 MP sensor. The phone is now available to order from the Lenovo’s Thedostore for Rs. 15,999.

Lenovo P70 will find its competitor in the to be launched Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL. This phone will be released on April 23 with a similar price tag.
