LG has launched its G Flex 2 in India for Rs. 56000. This is a premium Android device and a successor of the original LG G Flex. As the name denoted this device do flex to a certain extend. Though, it does not extend any functional advantage for the device it shows a certain degree of durability.
LG G Flex 2 features a 5.5 inch Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen display that offers 1920 x1080p resolution. On the top of the display is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display offers 16M colors and ~403 ppi pixel density. The screen to body ratio is an impressive 73.5%. The device, like its predecessor features a self-healing back panel coating. The over all dimension ranges between 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm and it weighs 152g.
The phone is powered by a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU paired with Adreno 430 GPU. Chipset used in the device is Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810. There is 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage memory in the device. MicroSD card slot helps in further storage expansion.
LG G Flex 2 supports 4G LTE network connectivity along with 2G and 3G. Other connectivity options includes Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, LE, apt-X, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, NFC, microUSB v2.0, The non-removable Lithium polymer battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh.
The rear camera in the phone offers 13 MP resolution, while in the front is a 2.1 MP camera. G Flex 2 will be available in Platinum Silver, Flamenco Red colors. Android OS, v5.0.1 Lollipop is the OS in the device. The specifications of the phone seems impressive, however the price did not. The price of the phone is at par with the recently launched Samsung S6 Edge and significantly higher than the LG G3. Hope the company listens.
This is a time when we are eagerly waiting for the real 2015 flagship LG G4. This device is expected to launch on April 28. Meanwhile, in a recent leak a series of images along with the proposed specifications of the phone went public.
