Intex has launched yet another budget Android device in the market. This time the company has launched Intex Aqua Star II HD that features a 5 inch display that offers ~294 ppi pixel density. The key specifications of the phone is at par with the entry level devices of the present. What is going to be difficult for the customers is to pick the right devices from Intex smartphone portfolio. Most phones have identical names.
Aqua Star II HD is priced Rs. 6590 at launch. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The phone runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
It is a dual SIM phone that supports 2G and 3G network connectivity. Other connectivity options includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and MicroUSB port. There is an 8 MP camera with LED flash at the back and a 5 MP shooter in the front. The battery capacity of the phone is 2000 mAh. Aqua Star II HD is available in White, Grey, Silver and Champagne colour options.
The price of the phone is really attractive and the USP is definitely the high resolution 5MP front camera. The competition will be primarily with the online only phones like Lenovo A6000 plus, Xiaomi and Motorola devices. Intex having more retail presence will be an advantage for the company.
