These Moto phones will get Android Nougat 7.0 update in Q4 2016

Motorola has announced the list of phones that will get an early upgrade to Android Nougat 7.0.  As usual Motorola phones are amongst the first to receive those updates. The news comes from Droid life as the company’s spokesperson has confirmed the devices that would be updated.

The phones that will get early updates are:

  • Motorola Moto Z series phones – Moto Z, Moto Z force, Moto Z play
  • Moto G4
  • Moto G4 plus

Android Nougat 7.0 is the latest Android version that was released a month back. Not many phone have Nougat yet. As announced earlier LG V20 is the device which will see Nougat for the first time following which the rollout would begin. HTC and Sony already have the list of device to upgrade to nougat.

Android Nougat comes with more language support (more than 100 partial supports), besides the existing ones. Other features are Multi window support, Direct boot, Data saver and background optimizations.

While these phones are confirmed by the company, the other Moto device users need not have to worry as the company will announce the date line for the X series and other G series phones in the coming days.
